Naples: A Lorenzo Insigne penalty sealed a 1-0 win for Napoli over defending champions Juventus in the Serie A at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday (February 13).
The Bianconeri didn’t look at their very best despite having much of the ball possession. Giorgio Chiellini gave away a penalty to Napoli after VAR confirmed his challenge on Amir Rrahmani in the box, which Insigne converted to score his 100th goal in all competitions for his boyhood club.
Ronaldo also had an off day missing a couple of goal-scoring chances, especially the one late in the game where failed to convert his header to equalise. The hosts kept it tight to hold their lead throughout the game with their goalkeeper Alex Meret being the saviour making a few crucial saves to keep his side in the game-sealing the deal to stand behind Juventus with 40 points.
