Paris: Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos have been reported to continue to have a disrupted relationship, dating back to their former club days despite pictures of them sharing a jest in the Paris Saint-Germain training.
Ramos and Messi have a huge history of rivalry hailing from Real Madrid and Barcelona days. The history of the 10 years of El Clasicos involving a lot of fights,verbal exchanges ,tackles and red cards have still been acting as force driving the two players away.
Both Ramos and Messi joined the French giants four months ago, on free transfers, unwantedly from the club of their lives. However as anticipated by the fans, the pair is yet to bond.
Apart from his former Barcelona team-mate Neymar Jr who is said to have been persuing the Argentine to join the Paris side since 2017, Messi found his friends at the new club is nation team compatriots Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes. Meanwhile Ramos had made quite a number of friends. However, the reports also claim that Ramos still has quite a professional approach toward his rival turned team-mate.
Since the announcement of Ramos and Messi joining the same side, the football world have been awaiting the day, both of them play together which hasn’t been possible yet. While Messi has already played eight games for his new side- three in Champions League scoring two goals, he is yet to find the net in the league, Ramos is yet to start a game because of his injuries.
However, Ramos has reportedly returned to PSG training amidst the rumours of the club trying to terminate his contract due to prolonged injury. Meanwhile,Messi, who was suffering from a minor injury had joined the national team practices ahead of the South American World Cup Qualifiers.
