Barcelona: Lione Messi added another feather in his hat equalling the legendary Pele for the most number of goals for a single club as Barcelona drew Valencia at home on Saturday (December 19) in La Liga. The visitors fought hard even after trailing in the second half and played well enough to earn a big point at Camp Nou.

The visitors yet again created another huge chance through Maxi Gómez, but Marc Andre Ter Stegen averted the danger. However, Barcelona but were given a gift in the form of a José Gayà penalty. Lionel Messi missed the spot kick, but Jordi Alba got to the ball and crossed it back to Messi who headed it home this time. With this goal, Messi now has 643 goals for the Catalans..

Barça looked stronger in the second half, building the pressure and doubled their lead owing to a great volley by Ronald Araujo on 52 minutes. Valencia avoided the loss owing to the equaliser scored by Gómez on 69 minutes.
