Real Madrid v Cadiz FC (PC : Managing Madrid)

Madrid: Anthony Lozano scored the only goal of the afternoon as Cadiz stunned Real Madrid in the La Liga 1-0 on Saturday (October 17).

Zinedine Zidane set up his side in a 4-3-3 formation with Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane being paired at the heart of the defence. Toni Kroos played as a defensive cover in place of usual Casemiro with Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vasquez in the upfront.

Madrid had obvious better possession on the ball but somehow struggled to make anything happen in the final third. On the contrary, Cádiz took chances whenever they on the transition. It eventually led to the goal in the 16th minute when Alvaro Negredo headed a ball down for Lozano who tucked it over Thibaut Courtois.

In the second half too, Madrid failed to break down the defence of Cadiz who kept it tight throughout the 90 minutes ending the game and taking all three points. Zidane’s lack of options in the attack again was exposed and the Frenchmen will be looking to sort things out before they meet FC Barcelona in the El-Classico a week later from now.
