Kidambi Srikanth enters quarterfinals of Denmark Open

Odense: Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth stormed into the quarterfinals after beating his Canadian opponent, Jason Anthony Ho-Shue 21-15, 21-14 in the second-round match of the Denmark Open on Thursday (October 15).

The fifth seed Indian took 33 minutes to outplay his Canadian opponent, in the men’s singles second round match of the Super 750 tournament, the only international badminton event happening this year.

Srikanth, the former number one and currently ranked 14th in the world will face second seed Tien Chen Chou of Chinese Taipei in the next match. Chou outplayed Ireland’s, Nhat Nguyen 21-16, 21-11.

Another surviving Indian in the tournament, Lakshya Sen will face Danish shuttler Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus later the day.
