New Delhi: Like every other Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan, former Australian opener Shane Watson also wants his Chennai Super Kings teammate to play for few more years. “MS Dhoni is an evergreen cricketer and he just doesn’t age,” Watson said.

Watson, who has been playing under Dhoni in CSK since 2018, said the veteran wicketkeeper should entertain the fans be it in IPL or international cricket. “MS still loves playing. He is an evergreen cricketer and it feels like he just doesn’t age. Look, with the kind of skills he has and the hard yards he puts in, MS can go on and play into his 40s. MS has been able to manage his body well.

“The way he is able to run consistently and showcase skills behind the stumps are just incredible. I am a big fan of MS and would want to see him continue playing whether it’s for CSK or internationally,” Watson said. Dhoni last played a professional cricket back in July last year when India were knocked out of the World Cup against New Zealand.

The Australian also spoke about playing the IPL being played in UAE this year, that too in front of empty stadiums. Watson said, “That it is going to be a challenge for the players, they are expecting to reap rewards from the conditions of the Middle East and is hopeful that the Yellow Army would be cheering for them from a distance.”
