Goa: NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC will lock horns in the match two of the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco, Goa on Saturday(November 21).
NorthEast United FC will look to start the new season on a positive note after finishing ninth in the league table last season. On the other hand, Mumbai City FC will start their campaign after the take over of City Football Group under the new coach Sergio Lobera with hopes to change their fortune this season. Despite having a few big names in their squad, consistency has been quite an issue over the years. Lobera, typically known for his aggressive football will look to do the same with the Islanders. Amrinder Singh, a popular figure between the post will have work cut-out with Mandar Rao Desai,Sarthak Golui and Rowlin Borges being a vital cog in the team as well as new signing Adam le Fondre, who will looking to show his goal-scoring prowess in the league. Mumbai have the upper hand going head-to-head with seven wins out of twelve while the NorthEast could only manage three so far with two games ending in a draw.
