Goa: NorthEast United FC will face SC East Bengal in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco in Goa on Saturday (December 5).
NorthEast United will come into their game full of spirits after they held FC Goa 0-0 in their last game. Gerard Nus has turned his side into a squad that is hard to break down thanks to their defensive prowess largely due to their center back pairing Dylan Fox and Benjamin Lambort who have been in stunning from the very start of the tournament.
However, their midfield is also working in quite a good fashion with Khassa Camara being their midfield machine with Luis Machado and Idrissa Sylla who will be their man for the goals. On the other hand, SC East Bengal came with a lot of hope but currently is struggling to cope with the qualities of the other sides.
Robbie Fowler is finding to make the side gel with their attacking players being not quite up to the mark which was seen in the last match against Mumbai City FC where they felt the difference in the quality of play that was quite superior to that of I-league in which they used to play. Mumbai took advantage of their weakness in wide areas of the defence and made the most of it.
Jeje Lalpekhlua, despite being such a reliable goalscorer has not been seen much. However, they have the likes of Anthony Pilkington and Matti Steinmann in their ranks which could be their key men.
