ISL 2020-21: Bengaluru FC lock horns against spirited NorthEast United FC

Goa: Bengaluru FC take on NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League(ISL) at Fatorda Stadium in Goa on(Tuesday) December 08. Despite a 1-0 win over Chennaiyin FC in their last match, Bengaluru FC lacked creativity in and around the opponent box for scoring more goals while the returning Dimas Delgado provided them with some much-needed boost in the middle of the park.

It will not be an easy walk for the former champions as the defenses of highlanders have been outstanding while they too will test the Blues defence going on the counter which they are doing very good in the matches they have played so far but scoring from set-pieces has been their strong point for with players like Juanan, Sunil Chhetri, and Eric Paartalu.

On the other hand, NorthEast United will be looking forward to continuing their outstanding defensive prowess so far in the league as coach Gerard Nus has ignited such confidence in his side that they will fancy their chances against a strong side like Bengaluru.

Defenders Dylan Fox and Benjamin Lambot will be their key men along considering how Bengaluru will threaten from the set-pieces along with a certain Khassa Camra in the midfield who has been excellent but Kwesi Appiah and Luis Machado will be players to watch out for when go hunting for goals especially on the counters.

Bengaluru have the upper hand going head to head claiming 5 wins out of the 8 matches being played while NorthEast winning just 1 with the rest being draws as both the sides will be hoping to claim no less than the full three points.
