Mumbai: Just after Punjab Kings (PBKS) versus Mumbai Indians (MI) match on Wednesday, ex-South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes made an unbelievable gesture by bending down to pat Sachin Tendulkar’s feet.

Rhodes was seen going down to touch Sachin’s feet in a video that went viral, and Sachin hugged the former South African star with a great smile on his face. Rhodes is the current PBKS fielding coach, while Sachin is the MI franchise’s mentor.

The incident took place after the match when players and support staff members were shaking hands.

The match didn’t go as planned for MI, who conceded their fifth loss in as many games this season.

Batting first, PBKS scored 198/5 in 20 overs. Openers Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan played their part to perfection and scored incredible fifties each. In response, MI gave it their all to chase down the goal but were limited to 186/9 in 20 overs, giving PBKS a 12-run victory.

On April 16, MI will face the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. On April 17, PBKS will take on SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
