Sharjah: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by six runs to advance to the IPL play-offs on Sunday. With 16 points, RCB has officially joined CSK and DC as the third team to reach the last four stage.

On the other hand, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, the PBKS openers, got off to a good start in pursuit of the 165-run goal, contributing 49 runs in the powerplay. However, their downfall began when PBKS captain KL Rahul was bowled for 39 runs by Shahbaz Ahmed in the 11th over.
