Dubai: The Indian Premier League’s 13th edition beckons us soon and thus the teams and players will face more challenges during the tournament this year. IPL 2020 is going to held in the UAE from September 19th due to the unmanageable situation of Coronavirus pandemic in India . This season brings new challenges for Bengal players especially the young newcomers, who get chance to show their abilities in the lustrous tournament for which Indians wait for a whole long year.

This tournament also throw new challenge to our ‘Dada’, Sourav Ganguly, current BCCI President. He has faced many obstacles and issues in his cricket career and it is expected that he will manage everything with his great ability as the role of the President of BCCI.

This year youngsters of Bengal like Ishan Porel, Shahbaz Ahmed, Sayan Ghosh grabbed opportunity to perform in the tournament in UAE. Shreevats Goswami (who already performed in previous edition of IPL with the orange army) and Wriddhiman Saha (wicketkeeper of Indian test cricket squad) are all set to attract the selection board of the national team.

Sayan Ghosh has got a chance in the franchise of Kings XI Punjab this year. K.L Rahul, the captain of the team has became a big fond of Sayan’s bowling. He is asking him to bowl repeatedly in the net practices, reports suggest.

Laxmi Ratan Shukla, former Indian cricketer and one of the MLA from Bengal will be there at three venues of the tournament in the UAE as a commentator. It is surely icing on the cake for the Bengalis. Indian national team’s ex- cricketer Sharadindu Mukherjee and Manoj Tiwari will be there too as Shukla’s co-commentators. Besides all of these, Deep Dasgupta, an ex test-cricketer and one of the best commentators of cricket tournaments in recent time will be there too as a host. Therefore, IPL 2020 brings new opportunities and new challenges to all the Bengal players.
