Dubai: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) 20-year-old opener Devdutt Padikkal has impressed one and all with his brilliant performance in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is already being referred to as one of the best players in the ongoing season of IPL.

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh recently lauded the youngster and said it would be great to be batting together soon – just to see who is better. On Saturday after RCB’s win against Rajasthan Royals, praising  Padikkal for his performance Yuvraj also invited him to bat with him to see who can hit the ball longer in a six-hitting contest. “Paddikal looks really good need to bat together and see who hits longer,” Yuvraj wrote in his tweet.

Responding to the Yuvraj’s tweet, Padikkal gave a heart-winning reply, he said he cannot compete with the India legend and also revealed he learnt the flick shot from Yuvraj. “Not competing with you paji. Learnt the flick from you. Always wanted to bat with you. Let’s go,” Padikkal wrote.

Padikkal has been a consistent performer for RCB this season. After their win against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday (October 3) the Karnataka-based batsman became the first batsman to score three half-centuries in four matches so far. After every match of RCB Padikkal’s stature continues to grow.

Earlier cricket maestros like Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar also praised Padikkal for his performance in IPL 2020.
