Kolkata :Indian Head coach Rahul Dravid tests covid positive, 4 days before the start of Asia Cup at Dubai.
Rahul Dravid ,alongwith other senior coaching stuffs didn’t travel to Zimbabwe for the 3 Match ODI series, due to tight international schedule.
“Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has tested positive for COVID-19 in a routine test conducted ahead of the team’s departure to the UAE for Asia Cup 2022. Dravid is under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team and has mild symptoms. He will join the team once he returns with a negative COVID-19 report. The rest of the team will assemble in UAE on 23rd August, 2022,” BCCI stated in an official release.
India will start their Asia Cup campaign on 28th August against arch-rival Pakistan , and it’s still not clear whether Dravid will travel at Dubai and join the team. Only if, BCCI & it’s medical stuffs give him clearence , we can hope for the veteran to join the team.
