Nepal : India conquered SAFF U-19 championship defeating arch rivals Pakistan 3-0 at Dashrath Stadium, Nepal.
India were against a strong Pakistani defence , who proved a worthy opponent in the 1st half, stopping India from opening the scorecard. India, however, created a major chance in 37th minute, but was stopped by Pakistan defender Muhammad Azan.

In the 2nd half’s 64th minute, the dead lock was broken, as India opened their account with the help of Manglenthang Kipgen’s goal, an advantage taken off a blocked pass by Mumammad Azan , and Kipgen sending the rebound with a strong right footer outside the box to give India 1-0 lead.
Kipgen continued to dominate Pakistan, completing his brace in the 85th minute , with a brilliant mind game tactics accompanied by substitute Kelvin Singh Taorem, they tricked Pakistani goal keeper and scoring a beautiful goal as a result of the mind game.
India wrapped things in style in the extra time , as, Gwgwmsar Goyary delivered a well directed header , assisted by Kipgen , scoring India’s 3rd goal.
Indian Junior team achieved their 8th SAFF championship with this title, proving their regional dominance.
