Kolkata: With the Indian Premier League mega auction 2022 dominating cricket news since last weekend, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma switched the emphasis back to his team and declared he didn’t want to talk about the tournament any further.

“IPL is played for two months and we play for India for 10 months. IPL auction is done and dusted. Time to focus on the colour Blue,” said Sharma addressing the media ahead of the T20I series against West Indies in Kolkata.

Sharma said all players are professional and know their duties and nothing to be considered on basis of IPL. “We will keep our options open for the T20 World Cup. Conditions are different in Australia. Doors are open for everybody,” affirmed the Indian skipper.

Sharma assured that necessary actions would be taken to fill the gap if needed. “Whatever it takes, we are trying to fill the gap,” Sharma on experimenting in the squad and giving assurance on the fact that India will try its best to clinch this series as well.
