Kolkata: Hooghly DSA beat South 24-PGS DSA by 118 runs in the summit clash at the BCA, Kalyani, on Tuesday to emerge champions of Inter District Men’s U-15 One-Day Cricket Tournament
Batting first, Hooghly lost 2 quick wickets for 36 runs. Skipper Aayush Pan (88), Anik Garai (47) played handy knocks to take Hooghly to modest total of 241/9. Rudra Roy (4/49), Sayan Yadav (2/57) bowled brilliantly as South 24 Pgs paved collapse for Hooghly.
Chasing 242, South 24 Pgs completely lost their way as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Despite Anik Halder (41) played late and lone good knock, South 24 Pgs were bundled out for just 123 runs. Anik Garai, Ayush Malik, Diganta Howlader, Mayukhmoy Dutta bagged 2-fers and played vital role in Hooghly’s title win.
