London: Harry Kane flared his speculations on joining Manchester City during the ongoing summer window after his recent remark pricked the curiosity of everyone. The Tottenham Hotspur star was recently asked which Belgian player he would like to play alongside, to which he replied with the name of Kevin de Bruyne.

The striker has been heavily linked to Manchester City all summer long. Former Tottenham striker Teddy Sheringham, who also left Spurs to join the other Manchester side, pointed out that Kane’s remark means ‘writing has got to be on the wall’.

He firmly believed that Kane would be way on his way out of Spurs and towards the Premier League winners in search of silverware. “Everyone is being very quiet on it at the moment, but for Harry to come out and say he wants to play with someone like Kevin De Bruyne and the players at Manchester City, the writing has got to be on the wall, hasn’t it?” Sheringham told the media.

Sheringham also felt that Kane’s desire to win silverware would be fulfilled when he makes a move to a more competitive side away from the North London club, who are currently not matching that ambition. “But even with all that Harry has given his best for Tottenham and it hasn’t been good enough for the club to win something,” Sheringham added.

Although Spurs would be reluctant to let go of their talisman who has a contract binding him to the club till 2024.
