Munich:  A brace from both Robert Lewandowski (33rd, 65th) and Serge Gnabry (82nd, 86th) along with another one from Eric Chupo-Moting (18th) propelled Bayern Munich to seal a 5-1 win over FC Koln in Bundesliga at the Allianz Arena on Saturday (February 27). Ellyes Skhiri netted one for the visitors.

Koln were the second best from the start as Hansi Flick’s boys pressed hard at them from the kick-off. Leon Goretzka found Chupo-Moting in the box who headed it home for the opener before Lewandowski extended the lead shortly after that. Ellyes Skhiri got one back for the visitors after a defensive lapse by the hosts.

However, Bayern turned up the heat after that. Lewandowski smashed it home for his brace after Thomas Muller broke the defensive line of the visitors with a pinpoint through-ball. Goreztka had a great game throughout the 90 minutes.

Koln found it hard to keep up with the quality of the defending champions. Gnabry struck twice in the second-half to seal the deal for the Bavarians who went five points clear at the top.
