FC Goa edge past Odisha FC with a comfortable victory

Goa: After a streak of six draws in the Indian Super League, FC Goa have managed to win against Odisha FC on Wednesday at the Fatorda 3-1. Alberto Noguera, Jorge Ortiz and Ivan Gonzalez scored for Goa while Diego Mauricio netted for Odisha.

The match started well for the Gaurs as they were playing much more attacking from what they were been in their last six matches. The linking play between the defence to attack was really nice to witness.

In the 18th minute, Noguera scored the opener from a powerful header which went past Arshdeep Singh under Odisha goal. The Gaurs scored their second goal in the 26th minute, this time it was Ortiz. A nice chip from the Goan No. 9 over out rushing Arshdeep.

Mauricio reduced the deficit in the 30th minute. In the second half, Odisha came out with all guns blazing. Mauricio could have got his second of the match had he tapped in the easy ball from Jerry Mawihmingthanga.

In the 75th minute, the Spanish Gonzalez scored the final as the Gaurs march to 27 points.
