Goa: FC Goa coach Juan Ferrando has been tested positive for COVID-19 and is under self-isolation. Meanwhile, the other members have tested negative and are following all the COVID protocols.
The Spanish coach has played a huge role in building up the young Goa side and prepared them well as the club finished fourth in the recently-concluded Indian Super League. They lost to eventual champions Mumbai City FC in the semifinals.
Goa’s next target is the AFC Champions League which would be resuming next month and news of Ferrando testing positive would surely put a dent in their preparations for the continental tournament.
The club has announced that whoever came in contact with Ferrando recently should get tested or maintain self-isolation for atleast seven days.
