Kolkata: Indian cricket fan Sudhir Gautam is not a new name to anyone, we have grown seeing him with a tri-colour on his body cheering for the Indian cricket team in the stadiums around the world.

However, with COVID-19 coming in the stadiums have closed the doors for the spectators disallowing fans like Gautam to support their favourite stars.

With Chennai hosting India’s first two Test against England from February, Gautam has come in the city from Bihar on Wednesday in an attempt to take a clearance letter from BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly little knowing that he has been hospitalised with chest pain again.

“Since the Test matches are starting from February against England in Chennai, I had come to take a clearance letter from Sourav Ganguly. I went to his home in Behala where I came to know about his bad health,” Gautam told Sportslight Media.

“I had planned to support the Indian team but in this situation, I couldn’t approach him. I wish his speedy recovery,” he added before leaving.

Earlier, Ganguly was admitted to Woodlands hospital for a few days after complaining of chest pain. He even had a blackout and fell to the ground while training in his own gym.
