London :Arsenal edged past Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 with three first half goals at the Emirates as the North London was painted Red.

After an awful start to the season Mikel Arteta’s men found their rhythm back winning the last two games and extended their winning streak with their win against Tottenham.  Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka all registered their names on the scoresheet to give their team all the three points.

Rowe opened the scoring for the Reds on 12 minutes, playing one two with the Arsenal captain and struck the ball past Hugo Lloris. On 27 minutes Aubameyang doubled the scoring when Kieran Tierney played the ball upfield to him.

Saka almost sealed the game for the Gunners when he scored the third goal of the game on 34 minutes when Harry Kane’s miss tackle laid the ball on his path and he put it inside the net. Son Heung-Min pulled a goal for the visitors, but it was not enough for Spurs.

“It’s probably the best day of my life. To have my family here as well, it’s a special feeling,” Smith Rowe said.

“I feel like we’ve worked so hard. We had a tough start to the season. I feel like its going really well at the moment but we need to keep our heads down.”
