Eden Hazard, Casemiro test positive for Coronavirus ahead of Valencia clash

Madrid: Eden Hazard and Casemiro tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday (November 7). The duo will be left off the squad for their next match in La Liga. The club released a statement for the same.

In a routine checkup for all the players and staff carried out on Friday (6 November) in Valdebebas, the reports of this duo came out to be positive. They will follow the health protocol and will go into self-isolation and quarantine, till their reports turn negative.

The other team players and staff tested negative for the virus, they went on to have a second test which also came out to be negative. Eden Hazard, barely made it to the team for the last couple of matches after being ruled off due to repeated injuries since he joined Real Madrid.

Both the players will miss their La Liga match against Valencia on Sunday (8 November). The international break will soon follow.
