Kolkata: Eden Gardens, the Mecca of Cricket is going to have a special cause to be visited from now onwards. The stadium of Motera got its name after the now Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A statue of the late Arun Jaitley, the former Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs is situated in Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla. Now Kolkata will be adorned with statues of four famous cricket legends. Jagmohan Dalmiya, Pankaj Roy, Sourav Ganguly and Jhulan Goswami are to be given a special place in the city of joy.

Jagmohan Dalmiya was the president of The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC). Regarded as one of the best cricket administrators in the world, Dalmiya holds a special place for everyone at Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Another bengal legend was Pankaj Roy, who went down for toss in the Lord’s Test as team India captain. Sourav Ganguly is still regarded as the pioneer of making Team India. Jhulan Goswami needs no introduction as the 38-year old is still a nightmare of many cricketers.
