Kolkata : Rajasthan United FC are the happier of the two teams in a goalless draw against local giants Emami East Bengal in a Group B game at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan. Though Emami East Bengal have the more chances and ball possession in the game, but Rajasthan United control the match in the second half and mostly dominate in the last quarter of the match.

Stephen Constantine’s East Bengal make four changes today; Alex Lima, Tuhin Das, Jerry Lalrinzuala and Charalambos Kyriacou in place of the injured Naorem Mahesh Singh, Mobashir Rahman, Pritam Singh and Wahengbam Angousana in the starting line ups. But the Ex-Indian National Team Coach still worrying about their striking force as Emami East Bengal remains goalless in both the games which they have played in Durand Cup this year.

While, Pushpender Kundu’s Rajasthan United FC continue their dream run in the cup and move to second spot in group B. After beating ATK Mohun Bagan in their first game, they settle down a goalless draw with another local giant Emami East Bengal. They are very much favourites along with Mumbai City FC to qualify for the next round from group B. Though Rajasthan United FC has a chance to go top of the table, as their Foreign recruit Sergio Barboza Jr missed the penalty in the second-half.

Emami East Bengal run a good show in the first half and create more chances in the game. But in the second half Rajasthan United FC’s coach makes two changes and that make more imact to the game. Martin Chaves, who is a former North East United player and Gyamar Nikum, the young lad who score the winning goal against ATK Mohun Bagan in last match for Rajasthan come to the pitch and put up a great show for their team.

Despite the penalty miss, Rajasthan United players never lost from the game and show some proper character as the game progress. A free kick from Martin Chaves and a shot from Nikum in the dying minute nearly seal the deal for the Rajasthan United. But unfortunately the game ends in a draw.

Emami East Bengal will be facing their arch rivals mna derby against ATK Mohun Bagan and Rajasthan United FC will face Mumbai City FC in their next respective games on Sunday and Monday.
