Jamshedpur and Air Force play for pride, must-win for TRAU
Kolkata/Imphal: In the first game, Jamshedpur FC (JFC) and the Indian Air Force Football Team (IAFFT) will play for pride in the 131st Durand Cup. While the second match of the day hopes local Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) FC to take on Chennayin FC in game that they cannot lose.
A battle for pride
Both Jamshedpur FC and Indian Air Force FT cannot progress to the knockouts no matter who wins.. Mohammedan and Bengaluru have already qualified from their Group. The young hearts of Jamshedpur FC will be boosted with confidence after a win over champions FC Goa in their last game. They will look to build on that against the Air Men, who have looked out of performance in this Durand Cup edition.
However, with the experiencing players in their squad, the Air Force can do anything for pride.

TRAU and Chennayin look to avoid defeat
TRAU FC must have to win over Chennayin FC, in order to harbour their hopes of getting into the next stage. Howewver, Chennayin FC have a game over Neroca as their last engagement. If they can avoid a loss to TRAU today, and win in that last game they can still be seen them through as the second team in the group.
Anirudh Thappa has a lot to do Chennayin FC whereas TRAU will be buoyed by their come from behind win against the Army Red in their previous game. With support in the stands for the local side and with so much at stake, it promises to be an exciting clash.
