Kolkata: The 131st Durand Cup is all set to begin from August 16, 2022. The final will taking place on September 18 at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata. The oldest competiton in Asia begun in 1888. Defending Durand Cup champions FC Goa will face Mohammedan SC.

This year will feature 20 teams divided in four groups. All 11 Indian Super League clubs will be participating along with five teams from I-League and four teams from the Armed forces. The Durand Cup 2022 will take place in five different locations, Salt Lake Stadium, Naihati Stadium, Kishore Bharati Stadium (West Bengal), Khuman Lampak Stadium (Imphal, Manipur), and Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (Guwahati, Assam) across three states.
