Dominik Mysterio made his first-ever in-ring debut against Seth Rollins in a Street Fight match at the SummerSlam 2020. Although Rollins won the match Dominik left a great impression inside the ring.

This match saw the involvement of every customary element of the street fight comprising chairs, tables, kendo sticks, and handcuffs. There were certain instincts which forced Dominik’s mother, Angie Mysterio, to come out.

It was an equally-levelled encounter and was well-balanced between both. Dominik had requested his father Rey Mysterio not to stay out of the match and that is what helped him to establish his first debut and a truthful challenger to Rollins. It is now left to see what WWE does next with the other superstars who were involved in this long-running, intense, and personal dispute.

Seth took control from the start. Dominik had also caught hold of his block and used his pace to respond to the domination of Monday Night Messiah. Soon, Rollins asked Murphy to quickly hand him a kendo stick, but Dominik quickly snatched it away and even hustled Rollins all around the ring.

Rollins was once again seen establishing an upper hand as he proceeded to harass Rey who was on the other side of the ring. He expected that Rey might interfere in the match, but Dominik had already taken care of that thing as he made sure that his father stays away from the match and let him do it all by himself.

Rollins again pulled a chair, but Dominik again turned things around for himself and used the same chair as a weapon on his opposition. Dominik got his grip back on the kendo stick and beat the hell out of Rollins.

Rollins made a table set up and wanted to use it in order to get back his grip on the match all over again. Though, Dominik was smart to use a Russian Leg Sweep to respond to the attack and rather put Rollins through the table. He then hit Rollins with a frog splash for an immediate collapse.

Rollins, who had been striving until now, finally fetched his hands on the kendo stick again and dehumanised Dominik once again which gave the audience flashbacks from the last time this happened on RAW. The Monday Night Messiah continued to involve a handcuff. This forced Angie to come out, and by that time Dominik took advantage of Rollins being distracted from him as he tried to score a quick pin. At this point, Murphy tried to get indulged just to hurt Dominik’s eye by mashing it against the steel steps. This forced Rey to intervene and attack Murphy.

Later on, Rollins handcuffed Rey and began to walk towards Angie. It was at that point when Dominik attacked Rollins and got back his pace. He delivered a well-executed 619 and wanted to complete it up with a frog splash. But Rollins got his knees up. As Dominik tried to get closer to his father, Rollins slammed him with a Curb Stomp and locked his victory.

However, Dominik’s first match in WWE proved his abilities and also that there’s so much more to him than just his family background. He was aggressive when expected and also managed to outsmart Rollins during certain circumstances. Despite losing Dominik had made a promising debut, and the fans are predicted to keep a close eye on him as he will move forward.
