Delhi Capitals look for third IPL 2020 victory; Sunrisers Hyderabad aim to lodge first points

Abu Dhabi: Delhi Capitals would like to continue their winning momentum when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday (September 29) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both squads are on opposite ends of the scoreboard.

While Delhi Capitals are on the top half of the table with two wins from two games Sunrisers Hyderabad haven’t been able to see the ray of the light in the two games they have played so far.

With the loss against KKR, SRH showed a huge lack of their motive with the bat. They could pick up only 142 runs from their 20 overs, and it showed how reliant they were on their top three for runs. The performance of their pace bowlers was dull, and they have a lot of issues to identify ahead of this game.

Both sides will want to win this game, but for very different reasons. Shreyas Iyer’s Delhi would want to hold on their winning run, while Warner will try hard to get his side some points on the board.

After a convincing win over the Chennai Super Kings, the Delhi are likely to go with an unchanged XI. Both the openers would be happy after getting starts that they wanted to, while Shimron Hetmyer could get another chance despite his poor start to the tournament.

Ravichandran Ashwin isn’t back to full fitness and may miss the next few games, and that should leave Delhi’s bowling lineup to remain constant. Avesh Khan was expensive but fell victim to several dropped catches and should get another chance.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost due to some ordinary batting and ineffective bowling against KKR. They lacked the punch in the middle order, and Virat Singh could come in place of Wriddhiman Saha. The spinners should get some turn off the wicket and their overs will be crucial. Their pacers didn’t have a great game though and will look to make a comeback in this match.
