San Sebastian : The defending Spanish champions start their La Liga 2020/21, against Real Sociedad, Zinedine Zidane would look forward to defend the title even this season, and start their campaign when they travel to Anoeta.
While, the Los Blancos won the league last season, Sociedad finished sixth and were 31 points behind them. They would go ahead and try to improve from where they stood in the league table last season.

This is the first game for Real Madrid whereas Sociedad played against Real Valladolid in an away fixture. They had a slow start to their season, as they couldn’t manage to score for a long time. The equalizer from Jordi Masip, however allowed them to walk away with a barely earned draw.
The thing which must be worrying Zidane right now, is his staggering list of injured players. They had few training seasons and any pre season matches.
Keeping in mind the fitness issues, the match should be a very close encounter.

Imanol would include David Silva and Mikel Oyarzabal after they made a recovery from Covid-19. Igor Zubeldia and Martin Zubimendi is doubtful and Ander Guevara might start in place of Zubeldia.
Real Madrid’s injury list is rather long, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Isco ruled out. Lucas Vazquez and Eder Militao is doubtful. Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguillon travelled to London to finalise their move to Tottenham. Both the teams are expected to play a 4-3-3 formation.
This particular match always has a lot of goal scored from both the sides. Keeping the injury list of Real Madrid, this will be an interesting game to watch.
