Athlete Tejaswin Shankar open the Indian account with a historic bronze medal in the Men’s High Jump event. While Loverpreet Singh win another bronze in weightlifting for India in Men’s 109 Kg. Sourav Ghoshal also bag a bronze medal for Men’s singles in Squash, breaking a long run jinx for the team in a major event.

In a team event, India’s Men’s Hockey team thrash Canada by 8-0 and advance themselves to the next round quite comfortably. An impressive performance by the batters and bowlers of Indian Women cricket team thump Barbados with a 100 run win and secure a place in Semi Final at the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmingham. But the biggest upset of the day 6 is Lovlina Borgohain’s exit from Commonwealth games 2022. She has been knocked out by 2-3of Wales’ Rosie Eccles.
