Manchester :

Manchester United and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at the Old Trafford on Friday ( April 29) in a English Premier League match. Cristiano Ronaldo was yet again to the rescue, to secure a point at home for United.

Inspite of controlling major part of the game, Chelsea’s lacking of finishing came to haunt them. The visitors had a host of chances to score in both the halves but they could only open scoring when Marcos Alonso scored on 60 minutes.

However, Ronaldo took less than two minutes to equalise for United. Ronaldo now had scored all of United’s last five goals. Despite not having much of an attacking flair to the game, Cristiano Ronaldo made good use of the one decent chance that came their way.

Although, the result did not effect the standings in the league table much. Chelsea are sitting comfortably in the third position, six points ahead of Arsenal who are fourth and eight points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Kai Havertz was played twice infront of the goal by
N’Golo Kante in the first half, but the German international once played the ball wide and thenext time he shot it too close to David de Gea. Thomas Tuchel brought subbed in striker Romelu Lukaku to look for the winner, but he was not of much help either.

“One team deserved to win and that was us. We didn’t take it. It was a very, very good performance but we were not decisive enough. We lacked a bit of determination in the box to win the game,” Tuchel said post the game.
