Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Sergio Aguero spice up transfer rumours

Manchester: Days after Neymar Jr extended his contract with PSG, the Brazilian has admitted to his desire to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo fuelling further speculations. With Juventus seeking to reduce their wage bill and recently-appointed new head coach Andrea Pirlo surrendering Serie A title to Inter Milan, Ronaldo moving out of Bianconeri can’t be ruled out.

“I want to play with Cristiano Ronaldo,” Neymar told GQ France, in quotes carried by Marca. “I’ve already played with great players like Messi and [Kylian] Mbappe, but I haven’t played with Cristiano Ronaldo yet.” Legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has also announced his departure from the club at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, there have been rumours that Argentinean Sergio Aguero might move to Barcelona. The speculations got life after Barcelona have reportedly given the ‘green light’ to sign Aguero on a free transfer when he leaves Manchester City this summer.

The Argentine striker, who is City’s all-time leading scorer with 258 goals, announced in March that he would be leaving the Etihad when his contract expires at the end of the season. Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the 32-year-old with the Spanish giants desperate to sign a new striker after another underwhelming campaign

The City star’s vast experience will also be valuable for Barcelona and it is hoped his recent spell of working under Pep Guardiola in England will serve him well at the Nou Camp. It is thought the Argentine’s arrival would not prevent Barcelona making a move for Memphis Depay, who is also expected to join on a free transfer from Lyon.

Aguero has played in LaLiga before, spending five years with Atletico Madrid before his move to Manchester in 2011.  He has been linked with a number of European clubs, including Chelsea, Inter Milan and Arsenal, since announcing his intention to leave City.
