Andrea Pirlo set up his in a 4-4-2 formation with Mathijs De Ligt being paired with makeshift center-back Danilo at the heart of the defence. Federico Bernardeschi and
Weston McKennie formed a four-man midfield along with Arthur Melo and Rodrigo Bentancur in the middle of the park with the pairing of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala taking care of the attacking duties upfront.

Juventus were quite an obvious dominator of the possession creating chances from them however Ferencvaros took a shock lead in the 19th minute through Myrto Uzuni who finished off a cross deflected off Alex Sandro but the home side equalised soon when Cristiano Ronaldo drilled it hard and low from a long-range into the bottom corner past goalkeeper Denes Dibusz who had no chance saving it.

In the second half though, Juventus were trying hard but weren’t quite able to break down the Hungarian side’s defence. However, they finally get their winning goal when Juan Cuadrado’s cross found Substitute Alvaro Morata who headed it straight at Dibusz but the Hungarian keeper was unable to control the power of the header. Cristiano Ronaldo, at 35 is still the biggest influence on the side with players like Mackennie and Arthur have become such a key part of Pirlo’s plans. In the end, Juventus came out of the pitch will three points looking steady.
