Abu Dhabi: West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard has joined his Indian Premier League (IPL) squad Mumbai Indians on Saturday (September 12th) after leading Trinbago Knight Riders to the Caribbean Premier League title a couple of days ago.

Not only Pollard but other players from the West Indies have also joined their respective IPL squads. Guyanese Sherfane Rutherford has also joined Mumbai Indians along with Pollard.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians will play against Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of the cash-rich league. This year IPL has shifted to the UAE due to the rising coronavirus crisis in India. The tournament will take place from September 19th to November 10th in three venues-Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

Mumbai Indians tweeted, “From the Caribbean Isles to Abu Dhabi The Pollard Family and Rutherford have arrived One Family Mumbai Indians MIDream11IPL@KieronPollard55”
