London: Premier League giants Chelsea is set to have a Frank Lampard-led revolution with the Blues boss reportedly set to sell 10 footballers including four defenders. Lampard’s decision comes in after Chelsea conceded 54 goals – more than any other top-half Premier League side, in his first season since returning to Blues in a new role, finishing fourth before losing the FA Cup final to Arsenal.

The west Londoners have put Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso up for sale with N’Golo Kante also potentially leaving, according to the Times. Zouma, 25, and Christensen, 24, who were tipped to for big things have failed to live up to the expectations while Antonio Conte signings Alonso and Palmieri are among those below Lampard’s required level.

N’Golo Kante could move out of Chelsea to make way for Blue’s new signings.

On the other hand, Kante has struggled to make his place in both Lampard and Mauricio Sarri’s playing XIs and the French Word Cup winner maybe let go to focus on Blue’s more weak spots. Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly set for a loan after the Spaniard’s forgetful show under the sticks has lost Lampard’s trust on the ’keeper – replacing him with Willy Caballero at Wembley.

Reports also claim that Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley will stay while Michy Batshuayi has been frozen-out by Lampard.  There is a cloud over Willian’s future with the Brazilian winger having rejected Chelsea’s latest two-year contract offer, demanding a three-year deal as Arsenal and Tottenham circle.

Although Lampard was denied to make any changes a year ago due to Chelsea’s transfer ban, he has already pulled-off some superb business – landing Timo Werner for £53m and Hakim Ziyech for £38m. Leicester’s Ben Chilwell is also a priority at Stamford Bridge.
