Lisbon: ‘Battle of Treble’. Yeah, we can name it that way. Best from France would face the best from Germany — the match every football fan wants to witness in this pandemic. Both the teams have won the domestic double this season and it will be interesting to see who wins the trophy this time since Barcelona completed a treble in 2015. If Bayern secures the Champions league it would be their sixth title and for PSG it would be special, as they are playing their maiden final of this tournament.

Since 2012 after the take over of the Qatari investors, PSG has only dreamt about being best in Europe. They have invested a huge amount of money to make their team filled with superstars — Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi, Keylor Navas — who were brought to the French capital for winning the Champions League.

No doubt they were the best side in their country winning trophies almost every year, but has always been unlucky in the European competition. This will be the chance to prove themselves the new powerhouse of Europe. Thomas Tuchel’s side has faced a lot in recent years and now they have to show the world what they are capable of. It won’t be easy against a powerful and balanced line up of Bayern Munich but they are ready to take the challenge to become the best in Europe.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich had two halves in this season. In the midseason, they were languishing mid-table and the appointment of manager Hans-Dieter Flick changed their course of the season. From winning domestic double to having a chance to win another treble since 2013, the team has changed and has become the highest-scoring side in Europe this season.

No doubt they have the Polish goal-machine Robert Lewandoski but also the team has got too much depth in one position which has helped them to pull out tough matches pretty easily. Battering Barcelona 8-2 in the quarterfinals proved how confident Bayern are as a team.

Captain and German legend Manuel Neuer believes that this year’s Bayern has more depth than that of 2013. Showing the confidence he has on his side, they work like a machine according to experts. Their passing and pushing and breaking the defence have been very lethal and difficult for the teams to stop. But the defence has been the questionable area for the Bavarians and the kind of opponents they have players might cause some worry for the Germans. But most importantly they have more balance in their side than PSG and their key to success lies in that.

It would be a fight between two German tacticians which won’t be boring. Treble has been the biggest achievement of any club and both the clubs will be on a rampage to prove who is the best.
