Goa: FC Goa had one of the clinical nights at the Fatorda on Thursday as they beat Jamshedpur FC 3-0 in the Indian Super League. Jorge Ortiz scored twice while the other one was scored by Ivan Gonzalez. This victory helped the Gaurs to hold on with their third spot and move to 18 points.

The match started with Goa attacking and making Owen Coyle’s side facing difficulties. Igor Angulo didn’t start the game with Ortiz replacing him. It took 19 minutes for Ortiz to open the account for the Gaurs through a clinical finish from inside the box. Goa dominated the first half and continue to attack.

In the second half, they started the match in a similar fashion and scored their second goal in the 52nd minute, thanks to Ortiz again. Jamshedpur looked out of shape on the day as they couldn’t do anything with their talisman Nerijus Valskis being successfully stopped by Goan defence.

However, Jamshedpur were reduced to 10-men after Alex Lima was given the marching orders in the 85th minute. Goa took the advantage and put the final nail in the coffin in the 89th minute via Gonzalez.
