Kolkata : The fifth day of the Cricket Association of Bengal 2025-2026 players’ transfer process was a busy one which saw a number of star cricketers making a move to rival clubs on Friday.
Rahul Prasad, who received the Best Men’s U-23 Cricketer of the Year award at the CAB Annual Awards recently, made a move from Aikya Sammilani to Town Club.
East Bengal Club were clinical in bagging a number of star players for the upcoming season. Star batter Sudip Kumar Gharami made a move from Mohun Bagan AC to East Bengal, Writam Porel from Kalighat Club to East Bengal, Sourav Halder from Mohun Bagan to East Bengal, Kaushik Maity from Kalighat Club to East Bengal, Akash Pandey from Mohun Bagan to East Bengal and Ranjot Singh Khaira from Mohun Bagan to Kalighat Club.
Ankur Paul, Avilin Ghosh and Sachin Kumar Yadav have made transfers from Mohun Bagan to Town Club.
Sumit Mohanta, Ayan Bhattacharjee, Sourav Paul, Agniv Pan, Kanishk Seth, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal, Satyaki Dutta, Sandipan Das, Arindam Ghosh, Iman Dutta, who played for East Bengal last season, will remain with the club for the upcoming season as well.
Subham Sarkar, Suprodip Debnath, Mithilesh Das, Aishik Patel, Pappu Ray and Abhijit Mukherjee, who played for Town Club last season, will remain with the club for the upcoming season as well.
A total of 291 players registered their names today at the players’ transfer.
The player transfer process will go on till September 15.
