Kolkata: Kanishk Seth achieved the feat of fastest fifty of Bengal T20 Challenge during East Bengal’s second victory by smashing 50 off just 16 balls on Tuesday (December 1).
About his blistering innings Kanishk said, “It was an instruction from the dugout to go out there and play big shots. Our captain who was batting with me was supporting me a lot. The wicket is getting better for batting as the tournament is progressing and obviously I was hitting it with power.”
East Bengal got off to a steady start thanks to Shreevats who smashed a 48-ball 65 and after his departure, Kanishk came out all guns blazing to score an unbeaten 50 off just 16 balls to help EB post 180/4, the highest total in the meet so far.
“East Bengal is playing well now, winning matches and if we can carry forward this momentum hopefully we will qualify for the knockouts,” he added.
