BCCI announces schedule for remainder of IPL 2021

Final two league matches of IPL 2021 season set to be played simultaneously

New Delhi: The BCCI on Sunday announced the schedule for the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2021 which will be held in the UAE. The remainder of the cash-rich league will start from September 19 with the summit clash set to be played on October 15.

A total number of 31 matches will be played in the duration of 27 days. While 13 matches will be held in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah and eight in Abu Dhabi. Chennai Super Kings will take on Mumbai Indians on September 19 in Dubai before the action shifts to Abu Dhabi where Kolkata Knight Riders face Royal Challengers Bangalore the next day.

Sharjah will host the first game on September 24 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and CSK. During the doubleheaders, the first match will start at 3:30 PM IST with the evening games starting at 7:30 PM IST. The IPL knockout stage will begin on October 10.
