Barcelona: United States fullback Sergino Dest has joined Barcelona from Ajax for a reported fee of 21m euros with 5m euros additional. The long-awaited transfer was finally revealed when the club unveiled the signing on social making huge excitement among the fans.

Born in the Netherlands to a Surinamese-American father and a dutch mother, the 19-year-old came through the ranks of the Ajax academy making his debut in the last season against PSV Eindhoven while attracting various club around Europe after making 37 appearances in his first season as a senior pro.
Barcelona and Ronald Koeman were quite desperate to bring change in the squad and managed to lock the deal of Sergino. A full international for the US men’s national team since last year, Sergino’s ability to aid both attack and defence is one of his biggest qualities. Koeman, known for making his team play free-flowing will certainly be looking to maximize the potential of the youngster.
