Barcelona: Barcelona announce Barcelona B coach Sergio Barjuan as the interim coach, while the club initiated the formalities to bring Club legend Xavi Hernandez from Al Sadd to replace Ronal Koeman.

Following a humiliating 1-0 defeat at the hands of Rayo Vallecano after an underwhelming loss against Real Madrid, Barcelona disposed of the services of Koeman. The news of Xavi taking over has been around for quite some time, however he was at Al Sadd.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Xavi had accepted the offer from his former club and the clubs have been chalking out formalities to bring Xavi to Camp Nou as early as possible. Since the league and the Champions League are going on, Barjuan will be taking care of the team until Xavi arrives.
