Doha : After a group stage loss against arch rival Pakistan, India A came back strong to defeat Oman in ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 Group B encounter at West End Park, Doha, by 6 wickets, in what was a do or die match. The Men in Blue, are thus, into the semi final.
Oman openers Batting first gave quick start with help of captain Hammad Mirza (32). After his dismissal, Oman began to slow down and lose wickets after the powerplay.
Despite Wasim Ali’s (54*) lone efforts, Oman could only manage 135-7 on board. Suyash Sharma and Gurjanpreet Singh picked 2 wickets each.
India chasing 136 runs lost both openers Priyansh Arya (10) Vaibhav Suryavanshi (12) cheaply. Naman Dhir (30) played a good cameo but fell on 68 runs.
India promoted Harsh Dubey (53*) up the order and the move worked as he smashed maiden T20 half century besides stitching 66 runs partnership with Nehal Wadhera (23) to seal win for India. He also earned Man of The Match.
