Adelaide: Australia declared the innings at 473 with one wicket remaining as Marcnus Lambuschange smashed the sixth Ton of his career. Australia were on 473/9 as the host declared and the visitors managed to get 17 losing two wickets at stumps of Day 2.

Aussie Captain Steve Smith and keeper-batsman Alex Carey both scored fifty as Mitchell Starc couldn’t make much runs down the order. Debutant Michael Neser failed to turn it into his dream debut as he put up a mere score of 35. James Anderson played a crucial role by getting Captain Smith just seven runs short of his career’s 28th Test century. Anderson also made Carey walk into the Pavillion, playing his second test with 51 runs. Australia decided to declare after Starc and Neser both scored a couple of valuable thirties.

Mitchell Starc got Roy Burns (4) as the opener edged in the hands of Captain Steve waiting in the slip. Failing with bat, debutant Neser made his mark by getting Haseeb Hameed as the visitors started struggling all over again.Captain Joe Root was on 5 and David Malan on one as the day was called off due to down pour and threat of lighting.

The two England batsmen, who scored fifties in the first Test, would like to do the same on the third day as England will look to cut down the gap of 456 runs as much as they can. Meanwhile, Australia standing with a strong first-innings total are in the driving seat as they have an advantage in the Test, mentioning to the first two downfalls of England.
