Odisha : Mohun Bagan Super Giants clinch a dominating 4-0 win over Odisha Fc in Kalinga Stadium in their opening Match of AFC Cup 2023-24. Liston Colaco and Sahal Abdul Samad scored the rest 2 goals.
Mohun Bagan created numerous opportunities in the Match, but in the 46th minute they opened the scoreline with the help of Sahal Abdul Samad ,who scored inside the box, credits to a good assist of Manvir Singh.
The 2nd goal came off Petratos, the hero of Durand Cup Final, who capitalized on a rebound due to a block effort from Samad. In the 79th minute, Manvir Singh yet again provided an aired pass to Liston, who headed it to the net, scoring 3 goals for his team. Petratos completed his brace in 83rd minute where he lobbed a goal over Amrinder Singh’s head to make the scoreline 4-0.
Mohun Bagan got the confidence required , starting the AFC Cup with sheer dominance and will now host Maziya Fc in Salt Lake Stadium.
