Town Club beat East Bengal to become champions of P. Sen Memorial Invitational Tournament 2026

Kolkata: Town Club are champions of P. Sen Memorial Invitational Tournament beating East Bengal Club by 5 wickets in summit clash at the JU, 2nd Campus Ground, Salt Lake on Wednesday.

East Bengal Batting first lost early wicket of Rishabh Chaudhary in first over. However, it was all about captain Sudip Kumar Gharami. In a pressure situation, he brought up his century, scoring 106 (97), comprising 3 sixes and 12 boundaries. Aditya Purohit (43), Writtick Chatterjee (54) and Shreyan Chakraborty (37) also supported him well as East Bengal ended on 316/9 (50). Town Club’s Debopratim Halder bagged 3-fer.

The match was reduced due to rain with Town Club getting the target of 260 runs in 42 overs. Chasing, Town Club top order stole the show.
