ENG vs IND, 5th Test, Day 5: Mohammad Siraj’s heroics help India script history at Kennington Oval

London : India defeated England by 6 runs at Kennington Oval, London in 5th Test’s Day 5 to tie Anderson – Tendulkar Trophy 2-2.

England required 35 runs on last day while India needed just 4 wickets. India started the day with Mohammad Siraj dismissing the last recognized Batter Jamie Smith (2) , finding his edge. Siraj didn’t stop as he quickly knocked off Jamie Overton’s stumps (9). Prasidh Krishna didn’t make much delay in yorking Josh Tongue.

With 1 wicket in hand, Chris Woakes walked out with broken left hand. Gus Atkinson (17) played heroic cameo but in the end he was dismissed off Siraj’s yorker with just 7 runs remaining. India clinched historic win to level the series 2-2.

Siraj was awarded Player of the Match, while Shubman Gill and Harry Brook Player of the series.
