Kolkata : After thrilling derby win against arch rivals Mohun Bagan, East Bengal continue their dominant run in Calcutta football league premier Division, hammering Behala SS Sporting club 6-0.
In first half, Chaku Mandi and David Lalhansangara kept attacking the BSS defense one after another. In the 18th minute, Chaku Mandi’s goal from a wonderful corner by Tanmoy gave the red-yellows the lead. In the 30th minute, David’s goal increased the gap. Exactly 3 minutes later, Mohammad Ashiq scored the third goal for East Bengal. The red-yellows went into the break with a 3-0 lead.
In 2nd half, East Bengal continued their dominance shattering Behala’s defense to pieces. They scored three more goals in a spell between 72 and 75 minutes. The goals were scored by Nasib Rahman (71′), Mark Jothanpuiya (74′) and Guite Vanlalpeka (75′).
The Red and Yellow brigade kept their defense tight and didn’t concede any goals against table bottomers Behala. In the East Bengal secured commanding 6-0 win amidst challenging weather conditions.
